I’m very pelased to have heard that Sholing Valleys, in Station Road, Sholing, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Volunteers.
Sholing Valleys is a five acre site, which includes woodland, Miller’s Pond andSholing Valleys Study Centre. The group was set up over thirty years ag with the aim of creatining ‘countryside in the city’.
The group rely on hardworking volunteers to look after the site, from conservation work toadmin behind the scenes. They organise excellent evenst throughout the year to promote the area.
I’m delighted to hear that their hard work is being recognised – well done everyone!
